Canaima National Park is a vast expanse of savanna, jungle and sheer-sided tepui plateaus in southeastern Venezuela, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that includes Angel Falls within its boundaries. The park's namesake lagoon, fringed by pink-sand beaches and a row of thundering waterfalls you can walk behind, makes a striking base camp even before venturing further into the tepui country.
