Coroico sits on a ridge in the Yungas cloud forest, a couple of hours' winding descent from La Paz into a world of coffee plantations, citrus groves, and warm humid air that feels like a different country entirely. The views over the green valleys below are spectacular, especially at sunrise when the clouds settle in the canyons. It's the perfect place to decompress after the altitude of La Paz, with hammocks, swimming holes, and slow afternoons on offer.
