About Gozo

Gozo is Malta's quieter sister island, less developed and more rural than main-island tourist centers. The island is studded with prehistoric temples (older than Stonehenge), and the famous Azure Window—a dramatic limestone arch—collapsed in 2017 but the coastal cliffs remain spectacular. Gozo's interior is quiet farmland, fishing villages nestle in harbors, and the pace is slower than Malta proper.
