Lake Louise is one of those places that genuinely looks like its postcards — a glacier-fed, turquoise lake framed by the Victoria Glacier, with a grand old chateau hotel sitting at one end. It's one of the busiest spots in the Canadian Rockies, but arriving early or hiking just an hour up to Lake Agnes Tea House quickly thins the crowds and rewards with even more dramatic alpine scenery above the lake itself.
