Negril is Jamaica at its most laid-back — seven miles of white sand along Long Bay, sunset cliff bars at West End, and a reggae soundtrack that never quite stops. It built its reputation as a hippy hideaway in the 1970s and has kept much of that easy, barefoot spirit even as resorts have multiplied.
