Soufrière is where St. Lucia's postcard scenery concentrates — the twin Pitons rise directly from the sea on either side of the bay, drive-in volcanic vents hiss and bubble nearby, and waterfalls cascade through rainforest just inland. The small town itself is unhurried and a little weathered, but the surrounding landscape is some of the most dramatic in the entire Caribbean.
