Page exists almost entirely because of water and rock — a small town built beside Lake Powell's vast turquoise reservoir and within easy reach of two of the Southwest's most photographed landscapes, Antelope Canyon's swirling sandstone corridors and Horseshoe Bend's dramatic curve of the Colorado River. Most visitors come for a tightly packed day or two of tours and viewpoints rather than the town itself, but the desert scenery surrounding it is some of the most striking in the US.
