About Tortuguero

Tortuguero is Costa Rica's Venice—a protected rainforest region accessible only by boat or plane, with no roads connecting it to the outside world. Jungle canals replace streets, and water taxis carry locals. The park protects one of the world's most important green sea turtle nesting sites. Tourism is limited and carefully managed, preserving the wild beauty.
